The headline offer for this Test has to be Coral’s 12/1 on England winning the Second Test, after such a rout at Cardiff last week, it seems to good to turn down. Get it here.

The Lord’s pitch has often been a batsmen’s paradise in the past few years, with many hundreds resulting in many draws. Whilst the potency of both attacks makes a draw unlikely, there is still money to be made in the 100’s market.

England captain has a great record at Lord’s and has scored a number of centuries at the famous old ground. Despite his relative failure with the bat at Cardiff, his captaincy and the manner in which his team won the game is sure to lift his mood, and 6/1 on Cook to score a century with William Hill looks a great offer.

With the flatness, and perhaps lack of pace in the pitch, taken into account, bowlers with an extra yard of pace will surely prosper. For England, that brings Mark Wood firmly into the equation. At 7/2 to be top England bowlers with Bet365, he seems like a good bet, especially if England are bowling second in the first innings.

For Australia, things become more difficult. However, there is definitely value in the top Australian batsman market. Having been drafted into the XI ahead of Shane Watson, Mitchell Marsh is a huge 8/1 to be top score in the Aussie 1st innings with Skybet. To put that into context, firstly Australia’s batsman failed to score an individual century at Cardiff, and also Marsh struck two centuries in the warm-up matches just a few weeks ago.
