Televised Race Previews
1.20pm The Turners Novices’ Hurdle (Grade 1) 2m 5f
An extremely competitive renewal of the mid distance novice hurdle championship. Paul Nicholls brings a live chance in the shape of No Drama This End although King Rasko Grey from the Willie Mullins yard looks to be a significant threat.
This horse also features in our best bets preview.
SELECTION : KING RASKO GREY 13/2 with Bet Victor.
2.00pm The Brown Advisory Novices’ Chase (Grade 1) 3m 1f
The novice stayers championship race goes head-to-head with Willie Mullins and Gordon Elliott both fielding future staying stars at the head of the betting.
Final Demand and Romeo Coolio have great claims, but this could be incredibly open. We like the look of Koktail Divin who has swapped handicap aspirations for this route which bodes well, and he has been well backed in recent weeks.
SELECTION: KOKTAIL DIVIN 8/1 with Bet Victor
2.40pm The BetMGM Cup Handicap Hurdle (A Handicap Hurdle Race) (Premier Handicap) 2m 5f
The big field handicap hurdle (formerly known as The Coral Cup) is always a magnificent betting feast and this year is no exception. Storm Heart has been the talk of this race for some time and leads the market, however, I Started A Joke looks well handicapped although is only in as a reserve. Iberico Lord each way also in the mix.
SELECTION: I STARTED A JOKE 10/1 with Bet365 and Boylesports or IBERICO LORD 10/1 with William Hill, Betfred, Bet Victor and Boylesports.
3.20pm The Glenfarclas Cross Country Handicap Steeple Chase 3m 51/2f
The entertaining race over various challenging obstacles always has an interesting French challenge.
Desertmore House has been progressing well this season and looks a viable danger to favourites Stumptown and Favori De Champdou.
SELECTION: DESERTMORE HOUSE 4/1 with Bet365, William Hill, Betfred, Bet Victor and Boylesports.
4.00pm THE BET MGM QUEEN MOTHER CHAMPION CHASE (Grade 1) 2m
The feature race of the day has been an absolute nightmare for punters backing hot odds-on favourites down the years. This year potentially shows no let up with the favourite Majborough coming into this in cracking form but with a tendency to throw in the odd howler at the fences.
Il Etait Temps could be the forgotten horse here whilst Quilixios looks a good each way Cheltenham bet after his fall last year at the last when challenging.
SELECTION: IL ETAIT TEMPS 4/1 with Bet365, William Hill, Betfred, Bet Victor and Boylesports.
4.40pm The Debenhams Johnny Henderson Grand Annual Handicap Steeple Chase Challenge Cup (Premier Handicap) 2m
Another cracking betting heat to round off the day. Relieved Of Duties for Gordon Elliott has progressed well this season and looks a good each way bet.
SELECTION: RELIEVED OF DUTIES 16/1 with Bet365, Betfred, Bet Victor and Boylesports
