So then. It's the biggie. In a lot of ways. It's the Champions League final for one. It's also the Madrid derby, for another. It's also the first time Real Madrid have been in the final since 2002. Oh, did we mention, in that final in 2002, this happened?

So this prospect kind of gets the mouth watering a little bit.

It's a tough one to call: Atletico are La Liga champions and have played a blinder all season, but Real are, well, Real. The most expensively assembled team in the world. And they really, really want European Cup number 10.

La Decima, finally?

We think Real might shade this one. It has been a draining season for Atletico, fighting with a threadbare squad to capture the league against all odds, so this final might be a step too far for them. Real are evens with BetVictor to be crowned European champions, while Atletico are out at 10/3 with Coral. The draw is 5/2 with Paddy Power.

Make no bones about it: this will be tight. The Real win by one goal is 29/10 with Ladbrokes and looks a good shout. Also worth a look is Coral's offer of 19/5 on Both Teams To Score and Real to win.

Ronaldo or Bale?

Will it be Portugal's golden boy or the Welsh Wonder for first goalscorer? Or someone entirely different? Odds are it will be Cristiano: the Portuguese is 10/3 with Bet365 to land the first blow in the contest.

Bale is 9/4 with Spreadex to grab a goal anytime which might be worth a punt; while for Atletico if anybody scores it is likely to be Diego Costa... If he's fit. He's 15/8 with Betfred anyway. Otherwise, look for David Villa at 11/4 with William Hill.

Anytime Assist is an interesting one because Filipe Luis is a standout choice at 13/2 with Boylesports. The Atletico left-back will love the space left in behind Ronaldo, and this could be a key tactical point within the game.

Derby bets

It is a derby, which means two things: cards and corners. Over 6 cards is 3/1 with William Hill, which is far too generous, whereas over 12.5 corners is 7/4 with Stan James. Take these offers while you can, because they really are too good to be true at the minute!
