13:30 JLT Novices’ Chase
The clear favourite for this race is Felix Yonger, at 9/2 across most bookies including Betfred, Bet365, and Boylesports. But the horse can have a testing time in difficult conditions, and with the weather set to be scorching, the ground could be baked and prove a problem. So, it might be worth having a backup for this one.
Taquin Du Seuil is the horse that takes our fancy as an each-way bet. Ridden by the legend A P McCoy, an upset might be on the cards. And at 8/1 with Paddy Power, we’d like to be there if there is.
14:40 Ryanair Chase
The frontrunners in this one are all much of a muchness in terms of odds (mostly around 4/1), so it could be a very close race. Tipsters and punters seem to like the look of Al Ferof however, and we’re inclined to agree.
Although a bit shaky in his last few runs, a win percentage of 50% looks good and in the absence of a clear favourite this horse looks as good as any at 9/2 each-way with BetVictor.
15:20 Ladbrokes World Hurdle
No messing around with this one. We like the look of the favourite Annie Power for this one. Unbeaten in her 10 races and with top jockey Ruby Walsh in the saddle, the mare is at 15/8 with Sportingbet, and looks the most convincing of the horses on show for this race.
16:40 Fulke Walwyn Kim Muir Challenge Cup Handicap Chase
This race is another one that should be a thriller. We fancy Holywell, who has fluctuated between 7/1 and 16/1 today, but can be found best-priced at 14/1 with William Hill. He might not be able to pull a win out of the bag, but could place, hence our preference to put him down for each-way.
