The rain has come and looks set to continue. And that of course is good news for last year’s Gold Cup winner Native River, hoping to repeat that success in Friday’s Blue Riband blockbuster. Punters have reacted by backing him into 4/1 best (William Hill) from 11/2 in the last couple of days.
APPLE’S JADE, THE UNIBET CHAMPION HURDLE, TUESDAY 12TH MARCH
The Gordon Elliott trained mare has been the subject of some serious ante post cash in recent days. The 7ib mares allowance gives her a major advantage over hat trick seeking Buveur D’Air and her form in Ireland is clearly the best in the Champion Hurdle field. Some firms are asking for 7/4, 2/1 still available with Bet Victor and Coral.
ESPOIR D’ALLEN, THE UNIBET CHAMPION HURDLE, TUESDAY 12TH MARCH
In the same race, the JP McManus second string, Espoir D’Allen has been the subject of some each way money. Unbeaten this season, but surely has it all to do to figure here.
KLASSICAL DREAM, THE SUPREME NOVICES HURDLE, TUESDAY 12TH MARCH
The Willie Mullins/Ruby Walsh combination is always going to be an attractive pull for punters and this has clearly been a factor for the money piling on this one. Was available at 7/1, best priced now 9/2 with William Hill who are also offering a thumping 7 places each way!
ARAMON, THE SUPREME NOVICES HURDLE, TUESDAY 12TH MARCH
A bit of each way money reported this morning. Clipped into 14’s from 16’s (Still available at 14/1 with Betfair, Bet Victor, Paddy Power)
KALASHNIKOV, THE ARKLE CHASE, TUESDAY 12TH MARCH
Last year’s Supreme Novices Hurdle runner up has been the subject of some each way speculation in The Arkle Chase on Tuesday. Best priced now at 9/1 with Boylesports.
MISTER WHITTAKER, THE ULTIMA HANDICAP CHASE, 12TH MARCH
This Mick Channon trained 7 year old has been the best backed horse in this race so far having been chipped into best price 8/1 (William Hill) from 10/1.
GOOD MAN PAT, THE CLOSE BROTHERS NOVICES HANDICAP CHASE, TUESDAY 12TH MARCH
This Alan King trained 6 year old looks fairly well treated at the weights for the novice handicap and punters have responded. Trimmed from 14’s into 10’s (11/1 still available with William Hill)
