The big race of the day and looking a to be a very competitive betting heat. Race favourite Night Raider has a great chance if producing his best although his eye-catching performances have mostly been on the all weather tracks.
French import Mgheera could be interesting if he pops out the stalls quicker whilst trainer Clive Cox, who has an excellent record in this race, saddles Jasour, although he needs to drastically improve on last year’s form to figure here.
A more viable option appears to be the Johnathan Porter trained Rumstar who stayed on well in a listed event at Newmarket last time out and sure to improve: best odds of 5/1 with Bet365.
