League Cup Semi-Final First Leg: Man City Vs West Ham

After being spectacularly dumped out of the FA Cup by five goals against Nottingham Forest because they played a team of kids, it wouldn't be a surprise if Sam Allardyce felt pressured to send out a full-strength team against Manchester City on Wednesday night.

He may like to keep it simple and just focus on the league, but there's no way the supporters will take that. Regardless, Manchester City still look good to give them a thumping.

More misery for poor Sam

Cup glory or stay in the Premier League? Never an easy choice for a manager, let alone the supporters. Still, we fancy City to romp this regardless of Sam's choice. Pellegrini's lads are 1/5 with Paddy Power to win at home, whilst West Ham are a massive 20/1 with BetVictor. The draw is 27/4 with Unibet.

We like the look of City by two goals, which is a tidy 16/5 with BetVictor. If you fancy a scoreline instead, 3-1 to Man City at 10/1 with Ladbrokes looks inviting.

Edin for the final

Being a cup competition, it looks certain that Edin Dzeko will be given a start. There is no value in him being Anytime Goalscorer (at best evens with Bet365) so for First Goalscorer instead, he is a tidy 3/1 with Coral.

Yaya, Yaya Yaya, Yaya Yaya Toure should be a good bet for Anytime Goalscorer, and is a decent 7/4 with Betfred. For West Ham fans, if you can even see yourself scoring a goal, maybe Modibo Maiga is your best bet. He is at 5/1 with William Hill for Anytime Goalscorer.

Optimistic shouts...

For the brave among you, we've cherry-picked some outrageous shouts - but being football, you never know, eh?

Alvaro Negredo is 14/1 to score a hat-trick with Unibet. If I were a West Ham fan, I wouldn't fancy the giant Spaniard knocking at my back door. Let alone my team's defence.

Half-time/Full-time of a Draw/Man City is a brave shout as well. We're all expecting City to walk this but you can never tell sometimes: West Ham might hold out until half-time. That tip is 4/1 with BetVictor.
