Tomorrow’s FA Cup final showcases the two finest teams in Engli… Wait. Sorry let me start that again. Tomorrow’s FA Cup final is a brilliant opportunity for taking the bookies for a ride because City vs Wigan is very much David vs Goliath - but this time Goliath has two Argentinian machine guns and David is trying to fight off Darth Vader with his free-hand. A cup win would be great for Wigan, but staying in the Premier league with tough fixtures against in-form Arsenal and just-about-safe Villa ought to be a priority.
City on the other hand will be leaving this season very much empty handed if they don’t win at Wembley. For Roberto Mancini who some say is on his way out, this is a must-win fixture. No doubt City will be firing on all cylinders tomorrow. This season City have beaten Wigan 1-0 and 2-0 in reasonably cagey performances, I think that backing City to win tomorrow with best odds from Ladbrokes at 4/11 is a dead cert.
