Chelsea v Morecambe - 1:30pm (Stamford Bridge) - BBC Red Button / BBC iPlayer / BBC Sport Website
Frank Lampard will be relieved to have a distraction from his Chelsea sides Premier League form. Chelsea face League Two opposition in Morecambe and it's expect a host of youngsters with some senior Chelsea players should take to the field. Chelsea are heavy favourites to win the game, 1/16 with bet365, Morecambe 45/1 with William Hill to win. The two sides have never met in any competition.
Morcambe boss Derek Adams will have a fully fit squad to choose from after a covid outbreak. This game will come down to how many Chelsea want to score, 2, 3, 4? Chelsea are 13/8 with Paddy Power to win by a four goal or more winning margin. Chelsea haven't won a FA Cup game by four goals since a 4-0 win over Hull City in February 2018, but I think they'll do it on Sunday!
Crawley Town v Leeds United - 1:30pm - BBC One / BBC iPlayer
Crawley Town have reached this stage of the FA Cup for the first time in eight years, against the infamous Bielsa Leeds United side. Will Leeds suffer a 4th consecutive exit at the 3rd round stage? Crawley are 5/1 with bet365 to qualify for the 4th round if you think Leeds will continue that run. But Leeds fears should somewhat managed by the fact Crawley Town have lost all FA Cup matches against Premier League opposition. Leeds United are justifiable favs at 1/3 with William Hill for the win.
To add extra spice to the game TV personality, Mark Wright could be playing for Crawley Town. If you think Wright and co can make an impact you can get 10/3 on Crawley scoring the first goal with bet365. I think that's the bet for the match, Crawley should start strongly in confident mood (strong recent form) and that may well catch a complacement Leeds United off guard.
Marine v Tottenham Hotspur - 5pm (Rossett Park) - BBC One / BBC iPlayer
This has to be the classic FA Cup Third Round tie of the season. Non league Marine face Premier League heavyweights, Tottenham Hotspur. It's expected that Jose Mourinho will field a reasonably strong Spurs side with Gareth Bale (18/5 with Unibet to score first) expected to start. The Northern Premier League North/West Division have offered Tottenham the bar area as the allocated area for the away team to prepare for the match.
On paper this has to be a Spurs walkover, but Jose's team has nothing to gain and everything to lose in this one. For the dreamers out there you can get 50/1 on the Marine win with Bet Victor, which seems a bit tight given the gulf in class. Liam Gallagher has confidently backed Marine to get the win earlier this week.
Marine are a team of bin men, NHS workers, factory workers, etc, if they escape with anything other than a big defeat it will be a miracle. Unibet are offering 4/9 on Marine + 5 on the Asian Handicap markets. I'd rather take Spurs -4 Asian Handicap with bet365 at 4/5. Spurs should win the game by a hatful!
Newport County v Brighton & Hove Albion - 7:45pm (Rodney Parade) - BT Sport 1 / BT Sport Ultimate
Newport County vs Brighton has a proper Cup feel about it. Newport County have become regular FA Cup over achievers in recent years reaching at least the 4th round in two out of the last three seasons (last 16 in 2018/19). Newport have notable recent FA Cup victories against Leicester City, Middlesborough, Leeds United as well notable displays against Spurs and Man City. Fancy another 'shock' Newport FA Cup giant killing and you can get 11/2 with Unibet for a Newport win, and 11/4 with bet365 for Newport to qualify for the next round.
Brighton have received good news with South African signing Percy Tau available after years of wrangling regarding work permits. You can get 9/5 with Paddy Power for Tau to score anytime in the game. Given Brighton's recent form I can't see this being a an easy tie for the Seagulls, but I reckon Newport will come out all blazing. I'm going for Brighton to come from behind and draw the game, 15/2 with Paddy Power!
