Races Preview

1330 The Supreme Novices Hurdle

On paper it looks like a match between Nicky Henderson and Willie Mullins as Constitution Hill and Dysart Dynamo go head-to-head! Outsiders Kilcruit and Mighty Potter also in the mix.

OUR PICK: Constitution Hill 5/2 with Bet365, William Hill, Bet Victor, Boylesports.

1410 The Sporting Life Arkle

The championship decider of the 2m novice chasing division sees a rare British favourite in Edwardstone trained by Alan King who is a lot of people’s idea of an Arkle winner although the usual competition from Ireland looks stiff with the unbeaten this season Blue Lord representing the Willie Mullins yard and Riviere Detel from Gordon Elliot.

Each way possibilities are with Henry De Bromhead’s Coeur Sublime if he can improve.

OUR PICK: Riviere Detel 9/2 with Boylesports

1450 The Ultima Handicap Chase

Frodon and Bryony Frost lead the field in terms of class but with the horse not getting any younger and carrying a lot of weight, the best he can hope is to put a few horses out of their comfort zone but will probably be reined in during the closing stages by a progressive novice.

frodon_bryonyfrost_ultimahandicapchase.jpeg
One we mentioned in our Best Handicap Bets is the well handicapped novice Kiltealy Briggs who is related to Grand National winner Ballabriggs. Novices have a great record in this race. Looks great each way value at 25/1 with bet365.

OUR PICK: Kiltealy Briggs

1530 THE UNIBET CHAMPION HURDLE

Honeysuckle should get the multiple bet placers off to a good start here for the De Bromhead team as she bids to retain her title in the feature race of the day.

Each way contenders are Teahupoo and Epatante.

OUR PICK: Honeysuckle

1610 THE CLOSE BROTHERS MARES HURDLE

Open renewal of the Grade 1 mares hurdle event. Telmesomethinggirl for the De Bromhead team lead the market but plenty in with a shout. Previous Triumph winner Burning Victory features in our Best Bets preview and we think she could run a big race at 10/1 with Bet Victor.

SELECTIONS RECAP

1330: Constitution Hill - 5/2 with bet365
1410: Riviere Detel - 9/2 with Boylesports
1450: Kiltealy Briggs - 25/1 E/W with bet365
1530: Honeysuckle - 8/13 with bet365
1610: Burning Victory - 10/1 with Bet Victor
