Arsenal v Manchester United
Wednesday 12th February 2014: 7:45pm

So it’s battle of the embarrassments for our main fixture this week (who’d have thought I’d be writing this 10 years ago?). Arsenal are looking to reinvigorate their title challenge whilst Manchester United need to get some points on the board to finish in fourth place (okay, now I’m feeling funny).

Gunners back and firing

After a 20 minute hammering at Anfield, Arsenal need to get a result heading into a very tough February. A home win is best at 23/20 with BetFred, the draw is at 5/2 with 5/2 with Bet Victor and United are way out at 11/4 with bet365.

Both teams looked suspect at the back this last weekend, and we like the look of a Both Teams to Score/ Arsenal win, priced at a tempting 16/5 with Coral.

Santi Cascorla

Both sides will be featuring diminutive Spaniards this weekend, but only one of them has scored 5 goals in 2015. There is always space between the United midfield and defensive lines, the place where Santi Cazorla thrives, and he is at a lovely 10/3 to score anytime with Paddypower.

Newcastle v Tottenham Hotspurs
Wednesday 12th February 2014: 7:45pm

In another interesting game on Wednesday, Spurs visit St James Park, looking to continue their impressive form under Tim Sherwood. A humiliation against Manchester City aside, Tim Sherwood has managed to get Spurs winning, even if they have looked distinctly average whilst doing so. Newcastle have hit a slump in form recently, which has coincided with an extensive injury list.

The home side are out at 9/4 with Boylesports, the draw is available at 5/2 with BetFred and a Tottenham win is best priced at 11/8 with BetVictor. Given Newcastles form and that they have eight first team players out, an away win looks like a great price.

Spurs to sneak it

Though Newcastle are a side in crisis, both on and off the pitch, Spurs haven’t been looking massively impressive recently, despite their results. As such, we think Spurs to win by 1 goal is a great punt, and at 31/10 with BetVictor, it’s hard to say no.

Furthermore, one big positive of Tim Sherwood’s tenure is the resurrection of Emmanuel Adebayor. He opened the scoring against Everton, and he is 7/1 to do the same thing on Wednesday with BetVictor.
