The biggest game of the season so far, sees reigning champions, Liverpool head to Manchester City.

Klopp's men have a great chance to put some daylight heading into the International break. If Liverpool win it opens up a eight point gap over City! But Man City won this fixture 4-0 last season and you can be sure Guardiola will have his team fired up!

Both teams are good form with 5 wins in their last six matches, but who will come out on top!? We look at the betting options for the game below.

Where is Manchester City vs Liverpool played?

Etihad Stadium.

What time does Manchester City vs Liverpool kick off?

4:30pm Sunday 8th November 2020.

Manchester City

City haven't been fluent this season whatsoever. The results have reflected very flat performances from Pep Guardiola's men. With Aguero and Jesus out of action for many games City struggled with to blow away teams as they did in previous seasons.

City will be buoyed with the return of Jesus, but Sergio Aguero, Benjamin Mendy and Fernandinho remain out.

City at home this season has been pretty poor, with Leicester dominating and even the win against Arsenal wasn't exactly overwhelming. Guardiola has already made it clear his side will have 'suffer' to come out on top against the Reds. I fear City may well suffer in terms of the result at least!

You would think Manchester City will have to score at least a couple of goals to win the match, so bet365's 21/10 on City to win and both teams to score would be more tempting than City to win at Evens with Betfred!

City have been easy to play against and look vulnerable at the back despite two clean sheets this season so a 11/4 on a city clean sheet looks like a turkey to me!

Liverpool

Liverpool are starting to perform, with good wins against Sheffield United, West Ham and Atalanta in recent weeks.

Liverpool have no VVD of course, but Joel Matip should be back in action for the Reds. Naby Keita should be in contention, although Thiago Alcantara is still out.

New boy Diogo Jota scored a hattrick in the Champions League tie away to Atalanta, which means Jota is averaging a goal for Liverpool every 71 minutes. Another hattrick maybe a stretch, but you can get 125/1 with Bet Victor if you fancy it! More realistically Jota to score seems to be the bet of the moment, with Bet Victor offering 11/5! You would be surprised if Jota doesn't feature heavily in the game.

Liverpool haven't won in the league at the Etihad since November 2015, but Klopp will fancy his chances. Liverpool going off at 5/2 with Unibet for the win. Liverpool Draw no Bet is arguably the more sensible bet at 17/10 also with Unibet!.

This time last year Liverpool exerted their dominance in a fine 3-1 win over Manchester City at Anfield. If you fancy a 3-1 Liverpool victory bet365 are 25/1!

Our Man City v Liverpool Betting Prediction (8th November)

With the defensive troubles of both teams I think we could get a proper Super Sunday cracker at the Etihad! Only two of the last nine games between the Manchester City and Liverpool has ended in 3 goals or less and I think we'll get goals and entertainment. Whoever comes out on top, Klopp and Guardiola teams should produce over 2.5 goals (4/9 with bet365).

Liverpool are looking much stronger and I think they'll outscore city with inspiration from the Jota, Mane and Salah triangle!
