Liverpool vs Manchester City

Sunday 13th April 2014: 1:37pm

So it realistically comes down to this. If Liverpool win they will have taken a huge step to winning the Premier League title. Manchester City would still have a game in hand but this would be a hammer blow to their psychology.

In a perfect world, Liverpool would win this game to set up a barnstorming finish to the season. But whether they will or not is a tough call...

End to the pretenders' challenge?

As optimistic as Liverpool fans have been about their chances, If Manchester City are on song they remain the best team in the Premier League: capable at the back, tough and silky in midfield, and lethal up top. Liverpool are favourites for the win at 6/4 with Paddy Power, while City are at 15/8 with William Hill. The draw is 27/10 with BetVictor.

We fancy City for the win, with both teams to score. This is a very tempting 7/2 with Coral. City have been proven title challengers for a couple of years now and have some experience in what it takes to win a title. The Premier League may have to wait for Liverpool.

So many goalscorers, so little time

Christ. Anyone, literally anyone, could net in this game. Even Kolo Toure (albeit into his own net). For this one, we're going to give you our preferred First Goalscorer pick, and then give the odds on Anytime for the rest of the usual suspects.

Aguero is usually the man to strike first, and this game could be no different, especially if he smells blood in the Liverpool defence. Aguero is 11/2 with SkyBet to open the scoring.

So for the rest of them Anytime Goalscorer: Luis Suarez is 7/5 with Spreadex, Daniel Sturridge is 13/8 Boylesports, Alvaro Negredo is 2/1 with William Hill, Steven Gerrard is 5/2 with Bet365, and Yaya Toure is 11/4 with Ladbrokes. Do with that information what you will.

Corners and penalties?

In such a high stakes game, a penalty is always on the cards. Stan James will give you 3/1 on a penalty being given.

As for total corners, over 12 is 9/5 with Sportingbet. Again, high stakes usually means a high corner count.

Swansea vs Chelsea

Sunday 13th April 2014: 4:07pm

In all the excitement surrounding Liverpool vs City, one might be forgiven for forgetting that second-placed Chelsea are still in the hunt for title glory as well. They need a win to carry on their pursuit, and anything less would be construed as a capitulation. After reaching the Champions League semi-finals, surely Jose is capable of dealing with some Swans?

Chelsea to brush Swans aside

Chelsea are favourites for the game, naturally, at 7/9 with Unibet. Swansea, despite home-advantage, are out at 4/1 with Betfred, while the draw is 11/4 with Stan James.

Chelsea to win by two is a tempting bet, especially when BetVictor have it at 5/1. If you fancy a scoreline bet, we like the look of 2-0 to Chelsea which is 8/1 with Betfair.

Schurrle he can't score again?

He is in fine form at the moment after finally forcing his way into Mourinho's thinking, so Andre Schurrle might be a good bet for Anytime Goalscorer at 14/5 with Unibet.

Elsewhere, Eden Hazard Anytime Goalscorer at 2/1 with Bet365 also looks like a decent shout.
