Manchester United have come off the back of a rare impressive performance against West Brom, but facing Liverpool is an entirely different matter. Both sides suffered disappointment midweek, with Arsenal’s 1-1 draw to Bayern not enough to see them progress in the Champions League whilst Tottenham slumped to a 3-1 defeat to Benfica, almost confirming their exit from Europe this term. Both sides will be looking to get back on track and focus on the final stages of the Premier League. Arsenal are favourites for this tie, best priced at 6/4 with Ladbrokes. North London is Red
Tottenham’s loss to Benfica on Thursday symbolises perfectly everything that is wrong with Spurs against top level opposition. They had little creativity in the middle of the pitch and looked suspect at the back. They have only managed to pick up a solitary point against top four opposition this year and have had two days less rest than their opponents. We have to go with Arsenal for this one.
