Newcastle v Manchester City
Sunday 11th January 14.05

Newcastle welcome back Yohan Cabaye into a side that has looked a lot more like the Newcastle of a couple of season back – climbing up to eighth in the table in recent weeks. City however have a fitness check for Yaya Toure and are missing leading goalscorer Sergio Aguero. City remain favourites for the win, best priced with WilliamHill at 8/11, whilst a draw is best with Bet365 at 3/1. Newcastle are as far out as 9/2 with BetFred.

Negredo to continue his run

Our other top tipster Sam Gayton pulled out a 14/1 winner in midweek by backing a Negredo hat trick. I’m not going to be quite as bold as him, but I do like the look of Paddypower offering 4/1 for him to score first.

Whilst I think it will be a close game, City definitely have the ability to edge this one after winning five out of their last six games over the Christmas period. We think 2-1 City is a good shout, best priced at 9/1 with Ladbrokes.

Stoke City v Liverpool
Sunday 11th January 16.10

Stoke have been a bit of an enigma this year. At time Mark Hughes has done his signature work in making them look awful, but some convincing home performances have made Stoke quite confident in recent weeks. Liverpool are favourites, however, best priced at 4/6 with BetVictor. The draw is available at 3/1 with Unibet and a Stoke win is at 5/1 with WilliamHill.

Rule Britannia

It’s a bit of a cliché that since Tony Pulis has left, the fear factor has gone away from the Brittania Stadium. However, Stoke have only lost once at home this term and we don’t think will change today. The draw is very tempting, and at 3/1 with UniBet we’re going to back it.

It would be criminal of us not to tell you this – Betfair are running an amazing promotion. If you don’t have a Betfair account, signing up today will give you a huge price boost on Luis Suarez to score anytime, from 8/11 to a huge 3/1. We don’t need to try and sell you on this. But away from bookies and their silly offers, and back in reality, we also have another tip for you. Though Liverpool loanee Ossouma Assaidi cannot play against his former club, we still think Stoke are good for a goal against the Merseyside club. Liverpool have looked shaky at the back in recent weeks, and with Daniel Agger out – Both Teams to Score looks like a safe bet at 4/5 with Bet365.
