Southampton Vs Tottenham

Sunday 22nd December 2013: 1:30pm

So Tottenham's first Premier League match without Andre Villas-Boas this season is against formidable opposition: Mauricio Pochettino's mighty Saints. They may have had a wobble recently, but Southampton have been the surprise package so far this season in many eyes.

Tim Sherwood and his band of merry misfits will be up against it on their visit to St. Mary's.

Honours Even

Southampton are favourites for this one, and you can find them best-priced at 8/5 with Ladbrokes. Meanwhile, Spurs aren't far behind in the odds, at 23/10 with Paddy Power. We like the look of a draw however, which is 2/1 with SkyBet.

Specifically, a Desmond 2-2 looks interesting, and at 16/1 with Coral, if it comes in, you're laughing.

Goals, goals, goals

Seeing as we're plumping for the 2-2, over 3.5 goals looks like a decent bet to have one as well. Specifically, Unibet's huge offer of 56/19 on this one being a goalfest.

For goalscorers, why not look at Jay Rodriguez, the gunslinger-named Englishman who's having a very promising season at Southampton this year. He is 9/4 for Anytime Goalscorer in this game with Stan James.

Swansea Vs Everton

Sunday 22nd December 2013: 4pm

Everton are going from strength to strength this season, beating Manchester United at Old Trafford and sitting pretty in fifth place. But they face a formidable challenge in Michael Laudrup's Swansea, who despite not starting as strongly as they would have hoped for, are still capable of obliterating teams on their day.

Swans to steal it

We fancy Swansea to nick the three points here in a close encounter. Everton are 6/4 favourites with Bet365, and the draw is 12/5 with BetVictor. But we reckon the smart money is on Swansea and at 2/1 with Betfair, it could prove profitable.

We also like the look of the Winning Margin of Swansea by one goal with BetVictor at 4/1. Home advantage might be what pulls the Swans over the finishing line in this one.

Look out, Lukaku's about

Even though we fancy Swansea to win this, you can't really bet against Romelu Lukaku for First Goalscorer here. The big Belgian is 11/2 with Paddy Power to open the scoring on Sunday afternoon, and that looks a very fair price indeed.

We fancy this one won't be a game of corners either. Under 10 corners is 11/8 with SkyBet and that is a nice looking bet in our eyes.
