Manchester United vs Aston Villa (8pm) - Sky Sports

Everton vs West Ham: Draw and Both Teams to Score

The first game of 2021 is Everton vs West Ham at Goodison Park. Because of the postponed Manchester City vs Everton game on Tuesday, Everton last played on Boxing Day beating Sheffield United 1-0. West Ham have played out two draws in that time, one 2-2 against Brighton and 0-0 against Southampton.

West Ham will be boosted by the news that James Rodriguez, Allan and Lucas Digne are out of the game, however Ancelotti believes Richarlison should play. David Moyes will have a decision on Michail Antonio although perhaps too early to play from the start! Antonio is priced up at 21/10 with bet365 to score anytime!

David Moyes doesn't have a particularly good record against Everton as manager with only one win in eight matches, but you be sure Moyes will do all he can to make sure his side don't lose.

Everton are on the back of four straight wins in the league, three of which have been to nil! Bet Victor are offering 13/5 for Everton to win nil! West Ham in that time have drawn three and lost one. Everton are unbeaten against the Hammers since a 3-1 home defeat in September 2018, bet365 are 33/1 for the 3-1 to West Ham in this one!

Given Everton have had extra rest its tempting to back Everton at even money with Betfred. But it's important to remember David Moyes made a number of changes for the festive games, spreading around the responsibility so there shouldn't be too many concerns from players. West Ham are a tempting 29/20 with Bet Victor for the win

I think we'll see a close game between the sides. Both don't tend to give too much away, but I can see a 1-1 (13/2 with bet365) or 2-2 (15/1 with Bet Victor) draw and believe the best way to bet on the game is to back back draw and both teams to score, 15/4 with bet365.

1st Bet:

Everton vs West Ham: Draw and Both Teams to Score @ 15/4 with bet365

Manchester United to Win from Behind vs Aston Villa

Aston Villa head to Old Trafford to face a high flying Manchester United. With Liverpool's recent draws it means Manchester United are now within touching distance of the top of the Premier League. Man Utd are now 7/1 to win the Premier League with bet365.

Aston Villa really have been the surprise package of the 2020/21 season with some good recruitment including Matty Cash, Ollie Watkins and Emiliano Martínez. This has added to the quality Villa had from last season. Villa have the base to really kick on and potentially land a european spot. Nothing is more proof of the way Villa have improved than the fact Aston Villa only conceded one goal in December!

Manchester United would stretch their unbeaten run in the league to ten games if they avoid defeat against Aston Villa. If you think that run ends on Friday you can get 10/3 on the Villa win with Betfred! United are best with Paddy Power at 8/11 for the win!

Both sides are in decent form with three wins and two draws in their last five Premier League games. For Villa that has included some impressive displays including beating Palace 3-0 despite being down to ten men and coming back from 1-0 nil down against Chelsea. Man Utd were slightly lucky to beat Wolves 1-0 in their last match with a late Marcus Rashford goal, but if fancy a 1-0 repeat you can get 20/1 with Bet Victor!

Aston Villa appear to have resilience and team spirit, to the envy of many sides. A stand out bet which looks tempting to be is 17/1 on Aston Villa to win from behind with Bet Victor! Perhaps more tempting based on the stats is Manchester United to win from behind is 15/2 with Bet Victor. Man Utd have done this six times this season!

I'm torn between a bet on Double chance Aston Villa and the draw at 23/20 with Unibet and a riskier bet on Manchester United to win from behind at 15/2 with Bet Victor. I'm going for the riskier and higher payout bet, backing Manchester United to win from behind! Why not!

2nd Bet:

Manchester United vs Aston Villa: Manchester to Win from behind @ 15/2 with Bet Victor!
